  • MPD™ (MULTI-PURPOSE DEVICE)

An innovation in rope rescue! The MPD allows you to go from lowering to raising without changing hardware. More than nine years of research and development went into the patented Multi-Purpose Device (MPD), which features major innovations in advanced technical hardware for rope rescue professionals.
  • Rescue 8

Machined from 1/2-inch (12.5-mm) plate, our classic Rescue 8 design has been refined for even better performance with today’s selection of rescue rope. Descenders no longer routinely use 5/8-in (16-mm) rope, so the smaller dimensions of our Rescue 8 provide greater control.
  • Survivor™ 8

Machined out of 3/8-inch (9.5-mm) aluminum stock, this compact figure 8 descender works well with escape lines or other small diameter ropes where minimum size and weight are the primary requirements. The rounded edges reduce sharp bends. The large carabiner hole accepts a wide variety of carabiners and helps prevent binding.
  • SMC Mountaineering 8

Easy to rig and handle when wearing gloves, this descender has smooth action on belay or rappel. Works well with either single or double ropes from 8mm to 12.5mm. Additional friction is gained by increasing the number of wraps. Carabiner hole can be used as a belay plate. Constructed from high quality aircraft grade 6061 aluminum for optimal strength to weight ratio.
  • Huit

Figure 8 descender. For descending on single or double ropes. Square shape to reduce twisting of the ropes and formation of a lark's head hitch. High strength forged aluminum. Small hole can be used with thin ropes if necessary, or as a belay plate.
  • I'D® L

Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for rescue.
  • I'D® S

Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for working on fixed ropes.
  • Rack

Variable friction descender with braking bars. This rack updates the classic brake bar descender. The design and configuration of the bars makes it easy to set up and insert the rope.
  • Rig

    Compact self-braking descender.
