This winch offers 1 or 2 cranking speeds capable of retrieval/descent at average speeds from 13ft/min (4 m/min) up to 30 ft/min (9 m/min). The Saddle Vent takes up only 3 inches in a manhole and functions as an air conduit. An eight inch air hose is attached to both ends of the Saddle Vent and placed in the entry access hole, thus eliminating the need to remove the hose each time entry or egress is required. The saddle Vent’s unique air flow design does not reduce air flow to the worker.
